Logan Utah Concrete Cutting Saws, Machines, Tools, Rental

Concrete cutting saws and machines are tough, strong enough to cut through hardened concrete with ease. This feat of modern engineering is something to be admired, and we want you to know what tools we prefer to use when it comes to our services here at Logan Concrete Cutting! Not only will it help you with your decision making, but it'll keep you informed and involved in the process.

If you're looking to rent tools or equipment, give us a call today! We'd be more than happy to lend you a helping hand, whether that means selling you a concrete cutting wheel for your saw, or simply renting you a polisher for your cement floors. Let us describe a little bit more about what we prefer to use on the job!

Concrete Cutting Saw
When it comes to cutting out windows, doors, or a foundation to make repairs, a concrete cutting saw with the proper blades installed is essential. These types of saws range from small, hand-held models, to larger machines that need to be pushed from behind. These are often powered by fuel or an electric motor, and hydraulics if the saw is to be mounted to a wall. Here in Logan UT, we prefer to use diamond embedding concrete cutting wheels as they last longer and cut more cleanly.

Oftentimes, these disks need to be matched with the type of cutting we'll be doing in Logan. For example, a wet concrete cutting saw, or one that sprays a small stream of water into any cuts, is generally used to keep the amount of dust down and the blade cool. However, sharper, harder disks are often used for dry cuts, when water sources are not available nearby, and are only used for intermittent, shallow slices.
Concrete Cutting Chainsaw

When you think of a chainsaw, the first thing that probably comes to mind is a tool that's used to chop up trees, wood, and others fibrous materials. However, these saws are also used for concrete cutting. They're often used for cutting small, precise, square holes, or finishing a door or window when overlap from rotary saws isn't a possibility. However, these concrete cutting tools do defer from your normal machine back at home in a few ways.

For example, concrete cutting chainsaws are often more expensive. This is due to the larger motor needed and specialized chains. These chains are often diamond embedded, helping them cut more cleanly and last longer. The saw's blade is also lubricated with water, which helps reduce the amount of dust being thrown into the air and keeps the saw cool.
Concrete Polisher

Concrete polishing in Cache Valley can be a complex, difficult process, requiring a specialized machine. This machine is often times pushed from behind and comes with a set of diamond-impregnated stones. These stones come in different "grits", depending on the sheen required for the project. Oftentimes, the floor must be covered in a layer of water before a concrete polishing device can be put to work. This helps keep the concrete polishing disks from overheating and breaking, as well as making for easier cleanup after the process has been finished!
